Our user-friendly API Credentials Tool allows you complete access to API credentials for accessing Clutch APIs. You can consult this article to learn how to generate API keys. To learn how to edit API Key notes and revoke an API Key, you can consult the article here.

Navigate to the Admin Section
Find the Admin tile in the left-hand navigation bar and click on it.

Go to the API Credentials Tool
Click the API Credentials Tool tile.

Generate an API Key
Click the + Generate New API Key with Secret button. Type in a reference note for this key. On the next screen, be sure to copy and store new API Key/Secret values before proceeding. API Secret will not be shown again.
Click Save to continue.

Input Detailed Settings
Input options for your Detailed Settings. This includes:
- Location
- Terminal
- Card Set (optional)

View or Copy Header Value Selections
Once selections are complete, they are populated in the header table. Using the copy selected button will copy all fields and values, using the copy icon next to the value will copy only the value individually.

Test Credentials
Click the Test My Credentials button to confirm the credentials are valid, and receive a test card in the response body for future use.
You have completed your first location credentials! If you want to create another key for another location, click the New Location button to retain the API keys and choose a new location and terminal.
When generating your keys, remember to use the copy icons to copy/paste your key and secret individually to a secure location. You’ll have a chance to access them as an encoded string later on, but if you want the individual values, grab them during this process.
